The Vatican

The Vatican Museum and St Peters Basilica. Long line and lots lots of people but well worth it. Astounding viewing. It was also interesting seeing the impressive contemporary art collection of the Vatican on the way to the Sistine Chapel which was mainly housed in the Borgia apartment rooms. (I am currently reading a book on the Borgias too.)
